Did you know that you can acquire coupons from a coupon clipping service or Ebay? Even if you get multiple copies of the Sunday newspaper, you may not end up with all the coupons you need, especially if you are feeding a large family. Moreover, not all regions of the country get the same coupons in their Sunday inserts. If you want to see what else is out there, try using a coupon clipping service, or browsing the gift card and coupons section of Ebay.

Now there are a couple of things to know. It is perfectly legal to acquire coupons from someone else, but it is not legal to sell or buy them. Essentially how these clipping services work is that you reimburse them a handling fee for their effort in finding and clipping the coupon, but you are NOT buying the coupons. In addition, please make sure that you are only buying original manufacturer coupons from Sunday paper inserts, not printable coupons from a website. You would have no way of knowing if a printable coupon had been photocopied and, if it had, you could be subject to stiff penalties for passing a fraudulent coupon!

As long as you make sure you only acquire coupons from legitimate services and that you do not accept printables, you can really increase the number of coupons you have to use at the store and the amount of money you save! Next time you come across a particularly useful coupon in the Sunday insert for an item that you would like to buy in large quantity, see what you can find on Ebay or from a clipping service. However, as always, be nice and don’t clear the shelves at your grocery store. Just buy a few at a time, or ask the manager to place a special order. Your coupon karma will thank you!
